Men's Ministry

“As iron sharpens iron,
    so one person sharpens another.”

-Proverbs 27:17

Retreats and Fellowship for Christian Men in the Hudson Valley

Men’s Ministry is a long-standing part of Leptondale Bible Church. We get together 6 times/year for breakfast on a Saturday morning, and we have an annual retreat every fall at the end of September or first of October.  This retreat is well attended, and each year has a different speaker; often the speaker is one of our supported missionaries.

The aim of men’s ministry is to continue to encourage growth in relationships with each other… Iron Sharpening Iron is something that we feel is necessary for Christian growth, and it doesn’t just happen at our breakfasts and Retreats. We fellowship regularly in many different ways, sometimes working on a wood pile, helping someone move or lending a hand at a Church work day.

But there are also many other practical ways that men can find to go shoulder to shoulder serving as a functioning part of the body of Christ. Our men are mostly all actively engaged in the everyday workings of Leptondale Bible Church, so this ministry is more or less a way to have a special way to identify as Men working for Christ.
