Children’s Church

Sundays at 11:00 AM
Ages 4 through 5th Grade

Children's Church meets on Sunday during the regular church service. Children will be dismissed during the service with their adult leaders to participate in Children’s Church in one of our Sunday School classrooms. After the worship service, parents/caregivers will pick up their children from the classroom.

Worship & Activities for Elementary School Age Children in Newburgh, New York

The goal of Children’s Church is to prepare our children to worship God in a corporate setting with the entire church on Sunday morning. The children are taught about God and His Word, which is the focus of our worship, and also that knowing God can be a happy and enjoyable experience.

Children's Church is very much a hands-on experience where the Word of God is brought alive by incorporating hands-on activities into the lessons. For example, recently the Festival of Tabernacles (or the Feasts of Booths) was celebrated and the children learned about thankfulness and God's generous provision to his children.

Children, ages 4 through 5th grade are welcome to attend, and our Children’s Church ministry team looks forward to worshipping the Lord together with your children when they come!

You don’t want to miss the places we are going, or the faces of those future friends that you just haven’t met yet! Our Summer program is fun, exciting, learning based and full of ACTION. It also inspires some personal favorites as quoted from one of our CREW members:

“I wish everyday was CREW day,”

or others that said, “My favorite part was tag and Bible time.”

So, what are you waiting for—Fun is right around the corner with plenty of friends and the only thing missing is YOU!!

Our Explorer Girls (EG) program is for all girls 1st grade through 8th grade. We meet at the church on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:00 PM. When you come to EG, you’ll have a Bible lesson, sing praise songs, do a craft and/or have gym time, and you’ll play games.

The goal and purpose of EG's is to present clear teaching of God's Word to the girls, and to challenge each girl to put God's Word into practice through the truths they learn from the Bible lessons: to invest in the girls lives, to teach them God's Truth, and to develop abilities since we are each created in God's image as a unique individual with specific gifts and abilities to use to serve God's people.

All of the Bible curriculum is chosen to help each girl learn who God is, how important they are to God, to learn how to begin and grow a relationship with Him, and to teach the girls how to study God's Word. To help each girl in all of these things, we seek to partner our girls with women from the church who become prayer partners with them.

We also encourage each girl to become part of a Bible teaching church, and to help each girl to develop physical, mental, and social skills and abilities based on Biblical principles.

Tuesdays from 4:30 - 6:00 pm
Boys from 3rd - 6th Grade

Tuesdays from 6:30 - 8:15 pm
Boys from 7th - 12th Grade

Because boys will be men…

Come on out on Tuesdays for a time of action and learning. The younger guys, grades 3-6, meet at 4:30 to 6 pm. The older guys, grades 7-12 meet from 6:30 to 8:15. We are blessed with a full gymnasium for weekly games and a meeting room where we can have our on-going projects set up, and left out week to week.

Stockade has an achievement program that will be worked on during the meeting with options for further development that can be done at home. Our rangers demonstrate and explain skills as we work on crafts and service projects. Yearly, we host other church units in the area for a pinewood derby.

Battalion is similar, but the activities are geared to teenagers, the skills are geared to life skills, the Bible study is deeper and more challenging. This past year we have troubleshot devices, analyzed design flaws and repaired them. Christian Service Brigade – the national organization over our church’s unit (#2278) – is a leadership development program which seeks to develop godly leaders in upcoming generations. As possible, we at Leptondale seek to give young men the chance to develop and grow.

Our leaders are leaders and servants at church. We have had background checks and training. Come ask us questions – Danny, Derek, Mark, and Thom
