Music Ministries

While "blended worship services" may be the current buzz words in churches these days, we at Leptondale Bible Church truly have a blended worship experience. Our Sunday morning worship services incorporate the best in contemporary worship music and traditional hymns.  Whether we are playing the music of Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, or Hillsong or if we are singing the early hymns of Isaac Waats or Charles Wesley, our music will always reflect upon the holiness of God and the grace and mercy shown to us through the person of Christ Jesus.  It is our desire at Leptondale to sing and make music to the Lord while proclaiming His goodness to all generations.

We are blessed at Leptondale Bible Church to have both a contemporary praise team and traditional band. The praise team began leading worship on Sunday mornings nearly 15 years ago and our band and organ have added a wonderful element to our traditional hymns.  In 2007, the two groups began playing together on special Sundays to provide a wonderful blend of electric and acoustic instruments in worship to our heavenly Father. The future of the worship music at Leptondale now includes two Sundays a month where the band and praise team join in unity as we sing both the newest songs and the oldest hymns of praise to our Great and Gracious God.

 

Special Music is another area where church members with musical abilities may serve in music ministry.  Each Sunday provides an opportunity for musicians to offer praise to God and encourage the body of Christ with a special song that is usually sung before the sermon.  If you are new to the church and would like to be on the list of special musicians or would like to be considered for a praise team or band member position, please contact the Coordinator of Music Ministries, Becky Saxe at (845) 240-3137 or leave a message at the church office (845) 566-1113.
