Home Bible Studies

Home Bible Studies are 'basic Christian communities.' They are the church functioning at its most basic level.

The purpose of a home fellowship group is to provide an environment where personal submission to Christ's lordship can be learned and practiced within the context of intimate relationships.

There are four ministry objectives for each group meeting:

Couch
Worship: Worship is a very important component of any Christian community.
Prayer: Learning submission to Christ's Lordships requires a commitment to prayer.
Scripture: Learning submission to Christ requires learning submission to His Word.
Sharing: Nothing so protects us from the deceitfulness of sin like meeting together and sharing our lives with one another under the authority of God's Word.

We have Bible study groups in Newburgh, Wallkill, Walden and Montgomery. (see table below)  Most Bible Studies take place from September thru May but a couple of them are year-round

In addition, we have many specialized Bible Study groups such as women's bible studies, and men's accountability groups. Call the church office if you are interested in participating or would like more information.
